Alpha Course

Alpha is best described as ‘an opportunity to explore the meaning of life’ and over 10 weeks explores the basics of the Christian faith in a relaxed, low-key way with lots of opportunity to ask questions and discuss issues raised.

The Alpha Course is designed primarily for people who aren’t churchgoers. Guests attend for a variety of reasons – some want to investigate whether God exists, others may have attended church occasionally but feel they have never really understood the Christian faith. Each week the course looks at a different aspect of the Christians faith, with a talk followed by a group discussion alpha logowith the opportunity to ask questions.

If you would like to know more about the Christian Faith please complete the alpha enquiry form and we will be able to give you advice - the next course has already started but make an enquiry and we will be intouch.

There’s no charge for attending the Alpha Course, although you may asked for a small donation to contribute towards the cost of the food provided.

“I went on the Alpha Course with an open mind expecting nothing,” writes one participant. “The course helped me to look at myself as I really am, and helped me to love and respect other people . . . Considering how reluctant I was to go, I actually found myself looking forward to the course each week.”

Why not give it a try? After all what have you got to lose?! If you would like more details or wish to book a place on the Alpha Course at St Margaret’s this autumn, telephone 432 1844 or complete the alpha enquiry form.
